Celebrating Mrs. Adewale Charity Afoluke at 60!
In the intricate weave of life, certain threads radiate an exceptional brilliance, and today, we joyously celebrate the luminosity embodied by Mrs. Adewale Charity Afoluke on her 60th birthday anniversary. Born on the 28th of February, 1964, to the esteemed late His Royal Highness Christian Gbadegbe and Mrs. Janet Gbadegbe, Mrs. Adewale has intricately woven a truly remarkable and enchanting journey through the fabric of existence.
Her educational odyssey commenced at St. Peter Catholic Primary and Middle School in Denu, Volta Region, Ghana. She then pursued her secondary education at Iganmode Grammar School, Ota, Ogun State, graduating in 1982. Mrs. Adewale furthered her academic pursuits, obtaining a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in English/CRS from Osun State College of Education in 1988. Undeterred in her quest for knowledge, she earned a Bachelor’s in Education in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Ado Ekiti in 2005, followed by a Master’s in Planning and Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria in 2014.
Embarking on a noble path, Mrs. Adewale dedicated herself to the field of education. Her teaching journey began at Ewututun Grammar School, Oshodi, in 1989, eventually leading her through various institutions, including Oke-odo High School, Lagos State Model College, Girls Senior High School, and Alimoso Senior Grammar School, where she served as Vice-Principal. Her impact resonates in each classroom she graced, leaving a lasting imprint on the lives of students.
Mrs. Adewale’s commitment to excellence is evident in her professional memberships, including the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Teachers’ Registration Council, and the English Teachers’ Association of Nigeria. Throughout her career, she seamlessly blended roles as an English Language teacher, mentor, and administrator, earning respect and admiration from her peers and students alike.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Adewale is an active member of Triumphant Baptist Church, Holy Ghost Compound, Akowonjo, Lagos. A devoted wife to Mr. Oluwagbemiga Abimbola Adewale, she is blessed with godly and beautiful children. Mrs. Adewale’s interests extend to singing, cooking, and traveling—where her melodious voice echoes her love for life.
