2023: Osinbajo Is The Best Candidate for Presidency- Ifeoluwa Fashoranti
AHEAD of the 2023 presidential election, the Director General of the Campaign Council, Professor Osinbajo for president,Ondo State, Mr. Ifeoluwa Fashoranti has said that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is the most qualified person to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.
In an interview with Mr. Fashoranti, who is a former protocol officer to Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, he described Prof. Osinbajo as the best option for the All Progressives Congress, and Nigeria in general.
He stated that the emergence of Professor Osinbajo as President Buhari’s successor would ensure continuity, and he went on to say that it was preferable to have someone who was already familiar with how the process operates rather than someone who would come in and begin learning everything from the ground up.
According to him, he asserted that Osinbajo knows the various challenges militating against the growth of the nation and that he confidently holds that he will do his best to ensure that the challenges are tackled headlong.
Mr. Fashoranti also stated that Osinbajo is best fit for the presidency because he has been the Vice President for seven years and has done an excellent job for both the President and the people.
According to him, Osinbajo is the frontrunner, and he has all it takes to emerge the president candidate of the All Progressives Congress come June 7, 2022.
Mr. Fashoranti while responding to questions regarding the move by the President to pick a consensus candidate, he explained that with or without consensus, the Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is well positioned to clinch the party’s ticket because he has noy only paid his dues but he has also shown himself to be capable, proactive, resourceful and credible.
He added, the Vice President has gone to all the states, met with every delegate, stakeholder and he did not just give speeches; he interacted with them by stepping down from the high table, and going down to meet them one on one, encouraging them to ask questions, which they all did and he answered those questions. He exchanged ideas with them and they shared the common vision for a great Nigeria, and the aspiration as Nigerians and members of the party. This shows clearly that he is someone who is willing and ready to build a huge coalition that is interested in taking Nigeria to the next level and actualizing that potential of a great country that we all know does exist. That is why we are very confident that he is the best candidate for the party to put forward.
He also explained that while the current administration has reviewed various applaudable achieve, the emergence of Prof. Osinbajo would go a long way in building more and solidifying the legacies of the Buhari led administration in Nigeria.
